The price, at different team sizes
Tradify's UK plans are £34, £37 and £44 per user, per month for Lite, Pro and Plus. Worklot is £29 a month for a sole trader and £69 a month for Pro, and Pro includes unlimited users. So the two are close if you are on your own, and they separate quickly the moment you put someone else on it.

The practical effect of per-user pricing is not really the money. It is that people start sharing a login, or the lad on site never gets an account, and then the job notes and the photos live on somebody's phone instead of on the job. That is the actual cost.
Where Tradify is better than us
If you only read one section, read this one. There are real reasons to pick them.
Live accounting sync
Tradify syncs directly with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks Online. Worklot does not. We give you a clean export file you import into Xero or QuickBooks, and we do not support Sage at all. If you want invoices appearing in your accounts on their own with no step in between, Tradify does that today and we do not.
Proper mobile apps
Tradify has native apps on the App Store and Google Play. Worklot is a web app. It works properly on a phone and you can save it to your home screen, but it is not in the app stores yet.
Years of polish, and a real support team
Tradify has been going a long time, has thousands of UK customers and has a support department. Worklot is new and is built by a small engineering firm. If something breaks at nine on a Friday night, be honest with yourself about which of those you would rather be ringing.
Text messaging built in
Tradify will text quotes, invoices and appointment reminders at 10p a message. We do not do SMS.
Where Worklot is better
One flat price, unlimited users
Covered above, and it is the main one. Nobody has to think about whether adding a person is worth £37.
Risk assessments and method statements, generated from the job
Worklot produces site-specific RAMS from the job you have already entered, in partnership with RAMSReady. It is £35 a month as an add-on against £49 standalone. Tradify holds compliance certificates but does not write the document for you.
Card payments land in your own account
You connect your own Stripe, so the money goes straight to your bank. We never sit in the middle of your cash.
It finds work as well as managing it
The Opportunities add-on (£39 a month) scans public tenders and grant schemes against what your firm actually does and scores them. Nothing in Tradify does this.
It is built by people who use it on real jobs
Worklot runs Bloor Engineering, a furnace and heat treatment firm in Derbyshire. The quotes, jobs and invoices going through it are real ones with real money attached. When something is annoying on a wet Tuesday on site, we feel it too.

So which should you pick
Pick Tradify if you are on your own or there are two of you, you want invoices flowing into Sage or Xero with nothing in between, and you want a mature product with a support desk behind it. That is a completely sensible choice and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Pick Worklot if there are three or more of you and per-seat pricing is quietly deciding who gets an account, or you need RAMS produced from the job rather than filed against it, or you want card payments landing in your own Stripe. At five people you are looking at roughly £1,400 a year difference, which is a decent chunk of a van payment.

What switching actually involves
Being straight with you: we do not yet have a one-click importer that pulls your data out of Tradify. Your customer list comes over from a CSV, and most people start Worklot on new jobs and let the old system run down rather than moving live work mid-flight. If you have a lot of history you want carried across, talk to us before you start and we will tell you honestly whether it is worth it.
Common questions
Is Worklot really unlimited users on the £69 plan?
Yes. There is no per-seat charge and no user cap. Put your engineers, your office and your apprentice on it and the price does not move.
Can I move my invoices into Xero?
You can export them as a Xero-formatted file and import it. That is a manual step. Tradify's live sync is genuinely better here and we would rather say so than dress it up.
Do I need a card to try it?
No. Fourteen days free, no card, and nothing bills automatically at the end.
Is this page biased?
Obviously. We make one of the two products. What we have tried to do is get the facts right and be honest about where the other one wins, because a comparison that says we are better at everything would not be worth reading.
